Hello everyone,

I'm living in Canada since two years, originally from India. Looking to get my elder brothers in Canada. Unfatunatly due to lack of education they do not have enough point to apply through express entry.

I heard if I move to Saskatcewan and live there for one year I'll be eligible to sponser them regardless their education, age etc. Is it true?

Your kind response will be appreciated.
By the way my brothers are 36 and 40 years, married.

Best Regards;

You can't sponsor your brothers.

Under provincial program they will get points if they have a family member that lives in the province, but ultimately they need to qualify on their own with education/skills that the province is looking for.

Thanks you guys!

But I met a guy here in Toronto who did this process successfully for his family about 6 years ago. All are his relatives not only brothers cousin and friends are here too. Physically living in Saskatoon city.

Also I did cross check just to make sure if he is lying and I can confirm he is not lying his family lives there permanently running a Mack's convince store.

May be in past there was a option which is no longer valid or we don't have full information about PNP.

@Rob_TO @Wonderland_1010 do you guys live in Manitoba or saskatcewan?

Just wondering.

Thanks again!

their situation is completely different from yours. you could potentially sponsor your brothers through PNP if you are eligible as an employer. that could be what your friend did. but for a family-based sponsorship, there is no way. so work hard, start a good business, let it grow, apply for eligibility to sponsor, and let your brothers apply in your company.

They were sponsored under old rules. The rules changed quite a few years ago and what that guy in Toronto did is no longer possible today (and hasn't been possible for quite some time now). As explained previously, your brothers will have to qualify on their own if they wish to immigrate.

I live in Regina, SK currently and SK used to have the family immigration program a while back but now its closed. SINP removed that category a long time ago.

Thx, any update please let me know I'll appreciate.

Best of luck!

The update is that these programs closed quite some time ago and there is no indication they are going to reopen . Your brothers will need to find a way to immigrate to Canada on their own.
