Proof of funds

Hi,
Currently i am working in canada under work permit and i have 1 yr of canadian experience. So, to apply for PR with myself,spouse and child , can some one please tell me what should be the minimum funds i need to show. On inquiring my closer circle, few are saying that it is not needed and few are saying that $20,000CAD needs to be there in our account for minimum of 6 months and few are saying we need to show only $15,000CAD but under request from the CIC but mostly they wont ask for it.

"Note: You do not have to meet the funds requirement if you were invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class.

The system currently asks all applicants to provide a proof of funds document. If you don’t need to provide proof of funds, you must upload a letter explaining either that you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class, or that you have a valid job offer."

Hello,

I have received my COPR under Canadian Experience Class. I do not have a job offer in hand. I am planning to land in Canada soon with my family. However, I'm not sure if I will be required to show proof of funds. My employment benefits amount to 20,000 CAD. I will only be receiving them in my account 45 days later after final settlement by my current company. If I'm asked for proof of funds at Immigration can I show the letters for which payments are to be made to me? I currently have 5000 CAD with me.
