I am an international student on F1 student status in USA, planning to dis-continue the course here and apply for colleges in Canada for Sept Intake. So is it possible to apply for canada student visa by filing an application in Canadian Embassy here in US itself or do I need to go back to my country and then apply. Can somebody please advise me the procedures on this urgently, thanks.

You can apply from the US. You do not go to the Canadian Embassy - you follow the directions in the link below.

Have you already been accepted by a college in Canada? You are cutting it a bit close for the September intake.

But I had this doubt in my mind that upon receipt of the offer letter whether I can apply for student visa from here itself (US) or need to go back India. So thanks for the info you provided. I think its the Canadian Embassy in Los Angeles where the application for study permit can be placed, as am in California. Do you have any idea.

Hello, i need urgent advise regarding Canadian study visa, i am studying in US and i have deadline for next semester till august 21. I want to continue my further studies in Canada. How can i possibly do that soon? I have already applied for offer letter yesterday for fall semester in a college of Vancouver. Can i get the visa online from here and whats the procedure for it?

You're most likely too late for September. Earliest possible would be January.
i have done my masters in computers in usa, what are the chances for visa approval. can i come for a 2 year diploma.
