Thank you so much for your response. I have had my medical last Thursday. I provided my specialist's medical report to the panel physician. When I asked her about my case, she said that since I am still able to work and study that should not be a big issue. In my medical report, there's a part that says there is no treatment available for my condition hence there is no cost. I find it a bit strange that panel physician did not mention anything about the excessive cost threshold but she's more concerned about my daily functioning (which is normal). I am anxious because I don't know what she will put in my medical regarding my condition.

The fact that there is no cost indicated against treatment of your condition is good meaning you will not be a drain on public health services. So patiently wait for the next communication from your Visa Office, all the best.

Hi guys,

I hope that this post is still active. It is really hard to find posts regarding vision problems.

I was born with a hereditary non-degenerative, non-progressive eye condition (called Bornholm Eye Disease) that only allow me to see up to 6/19 in my better eye and 6/30 in my other eye. There is no treatment available at the moment as it is a genetic disease. My condition has been like this since birth. Throughout my school years, I did not require any special education and I'd been working for 7 years without any problems. The only problem if I am lucky enough to be in Canada is I will not meet the vision requirement to get a driver's license but I'm Ok with that.

I am applying for PR under EE (FSW) and about to have my medical. I am worried that my condition would be grounds for medical inadmissibility.

Any thoughts or advice on what I should do?
