no I'm here very much with 'ppl like us' ...
however we are mean only to pessimists......
if someone is younger or more qualified or scored higher in IELTS it's not their fault...and we can't forget the patiently waiting ones at low 300s for whom we are stumbling blocks ...
let everyone chasing the dream get there some day...and sooner the better...it's not like "you are snatching away my chance"

Are we expecting a draw today since there was just one in June'16 ?

I am pretty hopeful for one today !! Based on the score distribution of candidates in the Express Entry pool as of June 22, 2017 i am expecting something between 425 - 430

I'm sitting at 379, but should be at 409 by mid August when my wife's masters gets assess and she completes her IELTS on the 29th of this month. English is her first language so we'll be having words if she does score well!

So I won't have any chance of an ITA this month, but I'm still joining in on the f5 party today and I really hope that I'm saying congratulations to many of you by the end of the day.

Irish humor in the first part flowing there and the hospitality in the latter half. Love it

I lost quite a lot of points because of my age. Started off the whole immigration process quite late in the day. Anyway Here's my profile.

Age: 36
Work experience: 10 years plus
NOC: 1123
BBA (Major in Marketing), joined work right after graduation and got too busy to do Masters. Little did I know I'd need that to increase score if I wanted to immigrate to Canada in future.
IELTS: L-9, R-8.5, S-8, W-7
Married with twins aged 3.5 years

I guess that's about it. Look forward to your suggestion

You profile looks pretty good regardless of your age. Has your spouse taken the IELTS test? and does she have any post secondary education?

If not this may possibly add 40 points to your score. I assume you have listed your spouse as accompanying.

I guess I am the most unique case here in this entire forum and this thread because we got 3 ITA till now and now we are waiting for our 4th ITA in upcoming draw and I believe this is the most anticipated draw for us and we want this dearly. In first ITA, we couldn't arrange documents timely hence had to reject it. In second ITA, we had a fight about something and I rejected that invitation in anger and instantly regretted it. In third ITA, we got very emotional due to illness of our grand mother and decided that we won't go to Canada and rejected the invitation. When grandma came home, she scolded and made us swear that we will work for our bright future and will not get swayed by emotions. So, here we are.. Waiting for the ITA again, the 4th one and this time, we are definitely not letting it go away.. Amen..

Not being rude here....but it is good you have finally made up your mind......hope you get an ITA again soon & today....

Try the Cambridge English books. I only used those books especially the reading part. When I attended a workshop in British Council, all sample materials were taken from the Cambridge books as well. Anyway, I wish you luck in your exam.

Thank you so much xty A good friend of mine has paperback Cambridge IELTS from 1-12. So he is lending me half for the moment and half later. I really need to get out this CLB 9 imaginary horror (in my mind).

I'm only here because I heard there was a Yukon party and I wanted an invite. You'll need good whiskey for the party and I'll handle that. Irish stuff and not that Scottish bog water!

BTW: I'm not up for being the designated driver. I'll be on whiskey quality control duties.
