Hi Legalfalcon,

Please assist with my query & thanks in advance.

In case we get PPR and PA (my wife) and dependent(me) are in different countries then how will the stamping happen?
Will I have to travel to my home country where my wife is currently based (this scenario will require me to take lot of leaves which may not be possible) and send the passports or can the stamping be done in different countries?

Our AOR is 30th March
Med cleared 2nd June
BG changed to NA from NBG on 18th June
FSWO

legal falcon, , sir great respects to you as you help many good people on forum .
now , i have some question For you :
* do i. need pay stubs for employment. ? As i do not have them back in 2010 anymore , it is only possible for me to get enployment letter
Can i only peovide only employment letter ?

Dear @legalfalcon

I recently read about a case of rejection due to incomplete documents because the person had submitted pcc from his 18th year onward.. his country of residence was Pakistan, same as mine

Obviously it feels scary, so should i get the certificate from my birth until date or starting from my 18th birthday
I will have to get 2 pcc for myself anyway so i just want to be on the safe side

Hi, I have a received a work permit and also submitted eAPR in May'17. I would be relocating on the work permit to Canada next month while the PR would still be in process. Do while you have already answered earlier that once I reach Canada I need to update my address with IRCC and also raise CSE submitting my Work permit. If I do this and PR gets approved, would instead of asking me to send the passports to NDVO, they would automatically ask me to send them somewhere in Canada?

When you change your address, you most likely will be asked to submit your passport to Ottawa. Your application may be sent to NDVO as that is your LVO and may need some checks to verify employment and other details. Even if they ask you to send the passport to NDVO, you can request them to change it to Ottawa, which they will do since you are in Canada.

Further, my next question is with regard to proof of funds, while entering Canada, we have to show the funds in Canada or even if I show the last six months INDIAN bank account statement and average balance certificate from bank, that is sufficient.
You only have to show that you have the funds, does not matter where they are, India or Canada. Now since you are working in Canada, you can show your pay stubs, the same document you submitted to IRCC with your application issued from back is enough. Not necessary that you have them in Canada.

Lastly the proof of funds requirement is only for PR or also while we are entering on work permit as we have a valid appointment letter from the company?
Only for PR when landing.

thanks a ton!

One more thing, for my wife, we had mentioned work experience in the personal history, would we need to raise a CSE if there is any change in her employment as well...

The day you submit your application it is locked. Any changes to your employment after that does not matter and need not be reported. The only thing that you have to report is change of address, change in family composition or other change in circumstances.

Dear Legalfalcon,

I feel devastated, i have submitted my eAPR and got the AOR about 6 days ago. here is my concern:

The only document which needed a translation was the certificate of marriage (in arabic), i have scanned the original + a translation in french from a sworn translator (traducteur assermenté), his translations are accepted in courts in morocco.

I did not sumbit an affidavit of the translator. (we don't notarize in morocco translations made by a sworn translator)
I did not sumbit a certified copy (Only the original)

Am i in trouble ? i'm extremely anxious... :(

Just raise a CSE and submit those now.

When you get the PPR, you can request IRCC to change your LVO to the country you are in, which can be different for the PA and other dependents. IRCC does it on regular basis and it is not a problem.

You only need pay stubs for employment which was in Canada. If you do not have pay stubs, you can use income tax return forms. For international work experience pay stubs are not required and as soon as you go over 3 years of work experience, you get maximum points.

Not sure where you read the case. PCC is only required after you turn 18 as before that an applicant is considered juvenile and is not subject to the criminal code.

Would there be any harm if i get it from birth till date?
Just want to be extra safe

Hi Legalfalcon. I submitted my application on 9th May(AOR). I just noticed today that when i viewed my submitted application it shows "work history" as "in progress" and not transmitted. All other tabs of the application such as personal history, education, representative etc show transmitted. This is strange.! I did make any changes after AOR and i dont think i could too although i submitted an employment doc by CSE post AOR.

Do you have any idea why the application is showing like this?

@legalfalcon , my application has been moved to the LVO. Can i still call the CIC general phone number to ask for updates? Lvo can not be called on phone.

With the recent changes to the IRCC system there have been a few technical issues being faced by many applicants. However, to be on the safer side you should immediate raise a CSE <https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx> and inform IRCC. This way even if there is anything wrong (which I highly doubt), it will be in the notice of IRCC.

Yes, you can call the general number, as the call agents look into the GCMS system to let you know the latest result.
