I am contemplating it as I do have an invite.. wanted to see what the next draw was first as CAD1500 is quite a bit of cash. But I think I'm going to go for it to be honest. This hoping for a drop is too much stress for me :)
What is your CRS? I still haven't decided as well. It's not only the money but the extra work of getting reference letters, contract, pay stubs, for all the work experience. Let's see how the next draw goes. Gonna wait until end of July.

I have 11 year 10 months job experience. I left the job in March 2017, three months back...
Now I am preparing for IELTS.

My query is, Is current job required for OINP or direct ITA. Or No job from last 6 months can be OK ??

I'm on 409 but it drops to 404 in July.

However my wife can still do her IELTS and give us an extra 20 points to take us up to 424, even 426 if we get her education certified..

Hi all

3 days back I entered my ee profile.

I have my scores at 443, but my husband and I have quit our jobs 6 months ago for preparations...
Does that affect ? Do we have to be currently employed to get picked up?

Any idea of when the next draw is?

I'm not an expert but from what I understand you need to have worked a certain amount of hours in the last 12 months.

Being unemployed for 6 months will probably drop you under that and I doubt the CIC will accept that you quit to prepare for the move to be honest.

Looks like I was wrong.. according to this page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/definitions.asp you just need a full years work experience. It doesn't specify that it had to occur over a set timeline

" The full-time work experience requirement for applicants in the CEC may be met by the equivalent in part-time, paid work experience (e.g., more than one part-time job held simultaneously or one or more part-time jobs held over the equivalent of at least one year of full-time work).

Work experience can be calculated by adding up the number of weeks of full-time (or equivalent) paid work, for example:

  • 30 hours/37.5 hours per week in one job, or a total of at least 30 hours/37.5 hours per week in more than one job) in one or more skilled occupations at:
    • Skill Type 0 (Managerial occupations);
    • Skill Level A (Professional occupations); or
    • Skill Level B (Technical occupations and skilled trades) of the NOC.
  • Work experience must be acquired over a period of at least one year; work in excess of 30 hours/37.5 hours per week over a shorter period cannot compensate for any shorter overall period of experience."

I've 7 overall in IELTS and my CRS score is 406. Is my CRS score is achievable? Also how can I improve my CRS score, if needed.

Thank you all and all the best. Cheers. :)

The best way to improve your CRS score is to improve your IELTS Score.
If you can achieve CLB 9 ( L-8, R-7, W-7, S-7), you can get 50+ more points added to your current CRS.

Thanks mate.
My CLB is 8. (L-8.5, R-7, W-6.5, S-6.5). If I go for IELTS again and if my score goes lower, I can still use 1st test results, right? I don't have to submit the latest score if they're lower, right?

Yes, you can use any IELTS result which is not more that two years old, it doesn't has to be latest one.

NOC Code......
0213
My CRS score is 414 but i did not get any NOI from OINP. I created my profile on 10th June.
I am also eagerly waiting for the draw and expecting my profile to be picked in next 2-3 draws. To be on safer side i am also expecting a NOI from Ontario. Some of the members suggested to recreate the EE profile which will increase the chances of profile getting picked by Ontario.

I am in dilemma to recreate the EE profile now or after the draw .I want to avoid a situation that i withdraw my profile and then the draw happens.

Suggestions please.

My NOC is 0213 and i think i can not bump my score further as i have got CLB 10 in IELTS with Bachelor Degree.

Please help
