I highly doubt the form will change that soon - that would mean they start the new rule from that day since the old form won't be available , and I don't think they can ever act that fast
The "intent to reside" clause will be effective at Royal assent day; they must act super fast on this particular matter.

Dear learned members of this forum I need an advice from you that I will be completing 4 years on 30th June 2017 but I would like to go to my home country for a short visit for a month. So is it better to file the citizenship application on 2 or 3rd July 2017 under 4/6 rule and then go for the visit or after coming from my visit I have to make the application.

please can you clarify this section in an adult application
Biographical page of passport(s)/travel document(s)
Provide photocopies of the biographical pages of all passports and/or travel documents (valid and cancelled) for the six (6) year period immediately before the date of your application, or since you became a permanent resident, whichever is more recent.

my question is, do i have to cover exactly 6 years or only the time as a permanent resident ? i have 3 passports that cover the mentioned time and the oldest doesn't even have the landing stamp on it

I landed and stayed in 2013 i copied and translated passport stamps that covers from July 2012 until present day June 2017 (planing to apply on the 25th of June )

please help because the translation of the stamps on passport are really expensive

Thanking you in advance

You better do it today or tomorrow maximum, before forms change expected sometime next week.

I've filled the forms and planning to send in 06/26 with 6 days buffer, if the forms were not revised by 06/23, I'll submit on 25th to avoid possible forms change on 26th!!!
yeah i understand the risk but i'm still not ready and the 25th will be a Sunday so most probably i will be sending mine Monday 26th of June

Any one please guide me.

My father is permanent resident & currently living in Quebec. He landed in April 2012 in Montreal & apply asylum. He got PR card in February 2016.
As per new rule, can he apply citizenship right now or how much time he still have to spend in Canada to become eligible for apply citizenship.

Hi Everyone, i was having a look at the sheet and over the past few months the number of days from application delivered to AOR has increased dramatically! Jan - 12 days, Feb - 9 days, Mar - 11 days, Apr - 16 days, May - 27 days!!! I wonder why this is? Is it because of more applicants, less staff at CIC?

Under new rules he would be eligible in February 2018 if he hasn't spent time outside of Canada

Question please.

My wife and I are due to apply this Jun.

Is It okay if my wife and I send in our applications separately? I know people send in as family, but we could send in separately if we want right?

Thanks.

Yes you can, even better if one of your application falls into a non routine process the other will have a pass

If you have landed in 2013, then your PR is more recent. You should include ONLY biographical pages of all passports since you got your PR. Take your translated stamps when you call you for test/interview, they might as you for that at that time.

Quick question again pls.

How does one complete the "Work and Education" form on question "6H", without unknowingly creating a gap in the employment history? I have had uninterrupted FULL TIME jobs since becoming PR. I have also had two PART TIME Jobs in-between. Entering the Full time jobs, my form on ( Q6H) looks good, but I can't seem to figure how to record my part time work on it.
Please help.
Thanks
