Migrating to Toronto in winter ??

Is it good / wise decision to migrate to Toronto in winter or we should wait for summer ? One of my friend moves there last winter and faced huge difficulty even in finding an odd jobs.

Any suggestions will be very helpful

Better to land when the weather is good so you can adjust, learn your way around and integrate. You don't want to pursue the job market in the harsh weather, the cold and the environment can be challenging.
