My bad. I should have mentioned earlier. My PG Diploma is not done from Canada. It is done from India and as per the WES ECA it mentions one year post secondary study from unrecognised university. The reason why I am asking if I should include that or should I just include the bachelors.
If its not recognised then I dont see a point in mentioning it, as you need to have education which has canadian equivalency.

Hi all. I just updated the research section and answered all the questions. However my profile suddenly became ineligible;I was expecting 15 points to take my score to 389 for sibling with PR. What do you reckon I do? I want my old profile created in December to remain active. Please guide as my responses to the profile are intact, so not sure what went wrong

Hi guys I have a problem.
I have a bachelor degree and a pg diploma and both have been assessed by WES. The former has been evaluated as bachelors degree (3years) and the latter as one yesr post secondary study from an unrecognised university under the canadian equivalent tab. However in the report it just mentions bachelors degree (3years) at the beginning under the Canadian equivalent summary.
I want to know if I should mention about the diploma and select "one year post secodary education" tab under the ECA while filling up the education section in the EE profile over and above the bachelors degree. Why I ask is because including the diploma is increasing my overall points. Or should I just mention my bachelors degree qualification and ignore the PG Diploma.
Unfortunately, you can't include your PG diploma because WES hasn't mentioned it on your evaluation report.

The reason they've not mentioned it is because they don't consider it equivalent to a Canadian PG diploma.

I have a PG diploma too but I didn't send it for evaluation to WES because I had a suspicion it won't be recognised.

Stick to what is on your ECA report and you'll be fine. Good luck.

just updated the research section and got the extra 15 points. CIC should really be clear about what we need to do to obtain those points. Alot of people are probably waiting for it to get updated automatically.
Your post is confusing, you got 15 points for sibling right and not for filling it the research section? :p

This is strange. Try and give NO for the research section and check again

Maybe your IELTS score expired or may be EE profile is more than a year old.

Did you get another noi from Ontario? Did your update involve change of crs?
The update did not change my CRS but I felt that the update was a major one, which might lead to questions from Ontario and rejection of Nomination if I decided to apply.
I recreated my profile this Monday, and Ontario usually sends out NOIs on Fridays, so I am still waiting for the NOI.
PS: I could have stuck with the older profile and just updated it, since I am not interested to settle in Ontario. But, its PNP may prove as my last resort if I failed to receive a direct ITA.

Can someone please clarify:
I have more than 10 years of experience out of which I have mentioned only my experience of 4 years in Work history (which is with my current employer). There is no other section, as of now, where I can mention the remaining experience which I will not claim for points. so what should I do ? will it be considered as a misrepresentation?
No...
you have to mention it under personal history section...you just need to give the details and not required to upload any proofs as you are not claiming points for the same...

Hi all,

Do we need to submit affidavit for spouse name change (addition of husbands family name for eg. Pooja Mehra to Pooja Mehra sharma) after marriage even if passport has the same new changed name?

Regards

I understand what you are saying but next to the canadian equivalent tab on the doc for my PG Diploma it mentions "one year post secondary study from an unrecognised university". I am not getting an extra qualification by WES for doing the diploma but what they are saying that it is a canadian equivalent of a one year post secondary from a non recognised university. Thus the confusion. Not getting you diploma assessed is different from my issue.

Somebody mentioned that they filled in the new work history survey and got 15 new points? How is that possible?

In the Research section, they ask whether you want to answer the questions so it's optional. You can select No and save and submit your profile. But what about people who don't select any option? Don't know if they will be eligible for the next draw.
The person most likely has a sibling in Canada. It's the newly introduced siblings point.
