I am afraid it is call the Doctors office.

If they use eMedical (you say they don't), then they would take their own digital photo and upload it to the report that they submit electronically, so you do not need to take any photos yourself (you need photo proof of id etc.).

If they are not on eMedical, then yes, they would need you to bring photos, photo proof of id etc. I am really surprised they haven't sent you a standard note saying precisely what you need to bring.

If you have a choice, I would always go for an examiner that does an eMedical. I did this for my wife in the UK, even though it meant a 200m round trip.

The letter they sent just said "provide 4 photos if the physician is not using eMedical"

Does using a doctor that doesn't use eMedical add to processing times?

You bet. Emedical Panel Physicians can upload the result instantaneously, while the one you're going to have won't be able to.

If it's gonna help, passport-sized photo usually is required.

45mmx35mm is the required size.

It sucks because there isn't even another immigration panel physician even close to Kingston. Let a lone one that uses eMedical

I don't feel like making the 3+ hour drive to Toronto or driving to Ottawa. So unfortunately I have no choice so it is what it is I guess!

Panel Members Handbook

Paper-based Panel Clinics

The client must provide four photographs to the panel clinic.

Photographs must meet CIC standards: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/photospecs-e.pdf .

If the photographs do not meet the specifications, please ask the client to provide new photographs before their IME can be completed.

A photograph must be attached to the Medical Report (IMM 1017) and to the laboratory and radiology requisitions/report forms.

The photograph on the Medical Report (IMM 1017) must be stamped in the top right corner with the panel physician’s ID stamp.
