I am applying for an Express Entry visa and filling in my invitation to apply (ITA). I'm stuck on these questions and would really appreciate your help.

Has XXX applied to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada before?
Answer: I think 'yes' as I submitted an Express Entry profile to go into the round of draws and get an ITA. Is this correct?

Has XXX applied for permanent resident (PR) before?
Answer: Definitely 'no'.

If XXX, has a unique client identifier (UCI) please enter it below.
Answer: I know that it is an 8- or 10-digit number, but I can't find it on my Express Entry profile. Will I have one if I have never travelled to Canada or obtained a visa for Canada?

Thanks for your help.

The answer to first is No, by applied before it means you sent them Documents and in return they would have issued you a UCI in a document sent to you.

If you are applying for the first time then you wouldn't have any UCI.

This is my understanding and you should wait for others to give input.
