@Suruchi
No worries. I applied for my own permanent residency in 2008/2009 under AINP-PNP-H1B stream. I got that in 2010. I remember the waiting period to be as long as 2 years.

After 6 years, I applied for my wife. This time wait is/was for 6-7 months.

In between, I applied for renewal of my PR card in Nov 2016. Associated wait was for 3 months.

It appears to me that when it comes to immigration, we should learn how to handle wait. The best way to wait is to keep oneself busy in other things.

Best Wishes...

Hi

My wife has an interview too in early June. Why do you think they called you for an interview, do you have any idea?

I hate the new format :(

Good to see it's moving forward. Hopefully will have our turn soon. What does your GC key shows? Does it mention medical results received and BC has started? You should have your medical done upfront.

I am unable to link account to GCKEY. Have emailed Customer services to help. Hence dont know the Status there.

We were just lazy about getting the medical thing. My wife is with me in Canada and hence we didnt consider it pressing :)

Depends on your interview, if all went well then they will ask you to keep your passport with them for stamping.

Any interview advice?

Any interview advice?

Remember all the dates u umentioned in the forms, take all possible original proof, photos etc. For interview.
Any new developments in past 6-7 month's after you submitted your application even take that.
And even they can ask u random question about in-law job's and other personal question.

All the best.

How does one get an interview call? do you receive an email or phone call or just on gckey/ecas account? looks like sept is the worst month. getting after oct and nov and now more interviews.
