Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello, I tried several photography studios and none of them accept to write down my name, dob and date. They only accept to stamp details of their studio and tell me I have to write down the other details. Is that going to be a problem for the processing of my applications?

You don't need to write anything anywhere. You just need a JPG of your photo to upload.

I do. We all do. Please refer to following link:

Thats disgusting. So many requirements for just a photo?
My lawyer just took one from his phone.

The good news is your application won't be rejected because that. The vas is that your lawyer should have been aware of all this. Good luck buddy, hopefully he didn't mess up anything in your application.

But my question remains,, please someone share your feedback. Is it ok if I write the name, date and dob myself? If not, what can I do? 3 studios and they all said they "can't". Freaking bastards.

Stick to the photo requirements in your document checklist for the digital photo.

You do not require the back of the photo with all that bs.

This is old. I believe it's from the paper application days. Might still be valid for the PR card, but you're not there yet.

You have one field to upload your "JPG" file. JPGs don't have pages like PDFs. You need to upload what's required in the documents checklist like others mentioned.

You just need to get it stamped form your studio and all other details can be written by yourself with consent of studio. However, it is my understanding that you don't need the back of picture for e-APR Digital Photo but you may wait for others view.

Although I agreed with your view and delpiero's, check the following link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

On the digital photos tab, under document requirements, there's a link to " IRCC’s permanent resident card photo specifications" abc it clearly states that the digital photos need to comply with the requirements listed in the pdf.

Let's say for the sake of argument, I don't need such details for the digital photos for eapr, we do however need to bring photos for the landing procedure, therefore taken in our home country. What do I do then if No studio wants to write down the information requested by cic?

That might be for the card, not needed for eAPR.

Think about it. The whole point of writing your name on the photo is in case it gets lost they can stick it back with your application!

With EE you don't need to provide a photo at landing as you would already have sent off your details for them to create a PR card.

I would worry about that later in the process. Maybe IRCC will update their website to remove such "unnecessary" requirements. For now, these are the requirements you need to stick to.. because it's 1 field meant for 1 JPG file.

Not necessarily. It might be to get some sort of third party to "check" identity bit then again the emedical also has our picture. Point taken. Just worried about messing up something although great care has been out r in my application.

Kryton don't you need to send hardcopy photos prior to landing?

Upping again! Say I get PPR tomorrow and I need to send photographs along with my passport. How on Earth am I supposed to comply with IRCC's requirements (re. back side) if no studio accepts to write ANYTHING on the photo?? I need this info because I like to be thorough and do not want to have to rush and stress at the last minute about such petty details.

Just write it yourself. You don't need to get it signed or stamped if they won't do it - bring it home and do it yourself. The requirement is there to keep your picture from getting lost.
