Regarding your previous US visit + now another visit so soon.... do prepare a 'Travel History' explanation. In a table format (chronological order), give each visa detail + entry/exit dates + purpose of each visit. Also, scan the US visa and include it in this explanation

You will have to repeat this 'Travel History' explanation for each family member

I'm a newbie here...I'm just wondering what is the average processing time for applications made online. Is it a lot faster than paper application? I am waiting on updates for my parents application on the 26th of April.

Yesterday 5 may 2017 my brother get call from Chandigarh embassy regarding showing error on my
Mother passport.
They says there is mistake in printing on passport number , they are sending my mom and dad passport
Back . AND THEY SAID THAT YOUR fILE IS STILL OPEN AND UNDER PROCESS . FIX THE MISTSKES ON PASSPORT
AND SEND IT BACK .to embassy

Well they want you want fix the passport issue and send it back. How is it approved if they say its under process?

Just an update. My mom just got passport request . Applied online from Canada on April 27th. Got passport request today May 05.

So happy. Hope Everyone hear good news soon.

Question, my boyfriend applied online april 6 and we will have not had an update.
Can I apply within Canada for him? It seems like it maybe faster but he is in India currently.

No, you cannot apply from within Canada.

To reapply, you would first have to withdraw his current application (which could take a few weeks IF the visa office allows you to withdraw it). You would then have to apply either online (giving his India address) or as a paper application

No, they have not been approved for TRVs as yet.

Not sure why they have dispatched your dad's passport too if there's an error only with your mom's passport. You may want to send an email to the Chandigarh visa office after you get both passports back to ask why.

Your mom must meet the Passport Officer where her passport was issued and request for a new booklet. This can be done in 1-2 days without any extra fees

I gave proof of our relationship hoping it's not a deficit and he also had a medical cause the CIC told me it was necessary for all visas but it seems like most applicants didn't have a medical. Quite honestly, I wouldn't have given additional proofs of your relationship as that indicates he may overstay his visit. Basically, it increases the chances of a TRV refusal. Unless you will be taking your relationship to the next level shortly.

Has the status been updated to 'Medicals passed'? Medicals are generally not requested for TRV applicants. Has he lived in a designated country for more than 6 months and he has recently returned to India?

Have you included an overseas travel medical insurance policy with his application?

Hi bryanna ! submitted the paper based TRV application at the vfs mumbai on 19th april. Could you explain how long does it takes for an application to reach Canadian Visa Office for processing as i beleive there is a timeline for the vfs to send the documents to bangalore cvo or delhi cvo accordingly we shall start counting the days.
