Hi All,

I had declared more funds that I intended to bring to Canada($30,000).
But I Currently have less than that amount in my accounts, can I change the amount to lets say $16000 during my PR application.
Please suggest.

Also, I have declared my uncle to living in Ontario(My father's brother), but I came to know that he has moved to US on business visa long time but still holds canadian citizenship and passport. Will that work or i need to provide his actual residence in Canada?

1- You can change the amount as long as you're still above the minimum required funds.

2 - Regarding your uncle that won't work as you will be required to provide proof that he is currently residing in Canada (utility bills for example).

Thanks for the reply.

it is my wife and me , so I think $16,000 (USD) should be sufficent.

but My uncle is in US now, what should I do? I know he has no bills from canada as He is not living there.
Please suggest.

Do you need those points in order to be eligible under FSW? (67/100 points).

If not, remove him from your application and explain in a LOE that he does not reside in Canada but that you still remain eligible under FSW.

Thanks Man,

Just to be sure, I am listing my details here.
Please confirm

IELTS Score- R9,w7,S7.5, L8.5 -- 28 Points

Sorry to dig up an old thread. But if I do change the amount I'll bring to Canada after ITA, will it need an explanation in LOE (assuming amount is still higher than minimum threshold) ?
