Thanks Moderator1983 for your effort.

In last ten years, I have been in three districts of Pakistan. Do I need clearance from three districts or from my present district only? Please guide.
Many thanks.
People on this community have a dispute on some of the facts as regards to getting a PCC from Pakistan. also CIC website makes it slightly more confusing. The website says you need to have one PCC from the country where you have lived more than 6 months. Unfortunately, Pakistan's PCC is not a global one meaning it does not cover the whole country rather it is city wise. I lived in the same city since my 18th birthday but I changed my address during this time, so I did get PCC from police stations covering the sectors. My wife on the other hand lived in two cities. I got 2 PCCs for her. Pakistan's PCC procedure is different from other countries. You might get replies from people who applied from India. Indian PCC covers the country not ours.

Thanks Syedahraza, Can I request my present district police station and they contact with other district police stations and make a final report mentioning that verified from other police stations as well. Or I need to get PCC from each district separately.

One PCC mentioning all district verification or PCC from each district?
There is no centralized PCC in Pakistan yet to cover all districts. PCC issued by local police station of the district. You might need to get individually. If you have multiple addresses within same district then you can get consolidated PCC.

Please note that dates should match with the address history you have provided to CIC.

Many thank for your reply.

I am living at present address just after I got married, almost from last six years and It is mentioned in CNIC. Seem no issue in this case. but If I approach the police stations of other districts, where I lived six years ago, they will ask for proof of living; as my address on CNIC is changed and now spouse address mentioned on it. How to handle this situation?

Secondly, you mentioned that PCC should match with the address history provided to CIC; so in my PCC other than current district the date showed be written on the PCC that I lived from this time to that time etc? Keeping in mind the attitude of police in our districts, I am afraid We have to face some difficult in requesting them. Single hope is my brother is still living on that address; might be helpful.

Can anyone share the wording of PCC for district other than current.?

Many thanks

Well I understand your situation and know the attitude of the police.

Usually Police will need your addresses and the dates you want them to mention on PCC and verify and then you have to pay FEE. That's all they need. they will take copy of your CNIC or Passport also. In some cases they might need CNIC of 2 witnesses.

They have their standard format in which they will issue. The key thing you might need to see is the stamp of ORIGINAL.

Go to your local 'thana', they'll guide you. Each and every district/town (true for Karachi) has their own local PD. So, you'll need to contact the SSP office of that district ( south, east and others) for police character certificate.

Hi,

I am also in the process of applying for PCC. I am living abroad since 3 years now, although I have been visiting Pakistan on a regular basis. My question is, do I mention my period of stay in Pakistan as continuous e.g. D.O.B. to present, or should I omit the time I stayed abroad and include my visits to Pakistan as separate items in address history of PCC? If I do the former, there would be an overlap in address history between my Pakistan's PCC and PCC for country of current residence. However, I assume that it is not necessarily a bad thing in context of PCC.

Thanks
