You should keep an eye on this forum and look for a new thread for JANUARY 2017 Applicants.
If I understand you correctly, I think your wife is still in Sweden, so you'll be interested in the JANUARY 2017 OUTLAND APPLICATIONS, as soon as someone opens a new thread. Then many people who apply this month will take part in continuing to comment on their applications during the entire process of waiting for your approval, for a year perhaps. So that will be a home thread where others who started their application at the same time as you can all exchange information.
What happens next? Next you should receive an email from Mississauga informing you that they have received your application. It will contain the file number assigned to your file. I think you'll receive it in about two weeks, but sometimes it's longer, or slower. KEEP ALL YOUR CORRESPONDENCE.
