Hi Asivad,

Hope you are doing well. I have a post ITA question about my address and job.

My hometown in India is 120 KMS away from Delhi. I worked around 7 months in Delhi. I am not claiming points for this work experience at all. I am writing this experience in my personal history. I used to travel to this work from my hometown and done work from home quite a lot. My parent house is near to Delhi and I used to live with them occasionally. In my application's address history, I am writing my hometown as my address covering this work experience. I think this should not be an issue at all.

Regards

Not a problem.

Hi Asivad

Could you please guess on why I am not getting 50 for skill transferability for my foreign experience?

This is my experience:

Company x: NOC 2174

India: Sep 2008 to May 2013
Overseas: June 2013 to Nov 2014
Hours: 40

IELTS:

L 8, R 8.5, W 8, S 8.5

Education:

Masters

With this I was expecting, 50 for skill transferability. But I am getting only 25. What am I missing?

Thanks.

Everything looks fine. Maybe you're not inputting something correctly.

Hi ASivad

I am CEC Outland candidate . ( currently in India because of work permit expiry )

I am applying under PNP CEC steam . Am I still exempted from POF requirements .

If not

I do have POF ( which I presented to OINP )

I have current balance of CAD 13000 and average of last 6 months is approx CAD 10800.

Is that an acceptable difference or further explanation / statements are required ? Please advise .

You're exempted from POF because you are eligible under CEC.

Hi Asivad

Are they any issues with secondary english teachers (NOC 4031) applying through EE FSW or PNP? Do you see OINP for example not granting nomination because of begin english teacher?

Thank you so much.

I validated work experience several times and verified everything. First time I had mentioned 8 hours instead of 40 in number of hours per week. I corrected it. Still it didn't give full points for skill transferability. I removed my entire work experience and IELTS scores and added them back. Still score remained the same. I was getting full points for section A of skill transferability (education + IELTS). So I am pretty sure there was no mistake with IELTS score. Not sure, what I changed for the last time, it took a long time to update the status and then it deemed my profile to be ineligible.

So, I recreated the profile and the points are correctly reflecting now. I am suspecting there is either a bug or small thing that is being missed that creates this problem. May be giving the hours as 8 for the first time triggered some scenario internally. Not sure what else could have gone wrong. Someone has already had similar issue before..

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/error-in-crs-skill-transferability-foreign-work-experience-t407932.0.html

Even then only recreating the profile seemed to have helped. Just putting them here for future benefit of others.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi Asivad :)

I got a lot of wonderful help from you since waiting in the pool, and finally got ITA that I am currently working on filling out the APR. Thank you!

I just have one question that I wanted to get it clarified.
My Canadian post-secondary education is Business Administration - Human Resources (3 year program). Before ITA, I chose my field of study as Business/Commerce in my pre-ITA application. but then now I was looking at it, and realized "Business, Management, Marketing or Related Support Services" might suit my program better.

Do you think I should change it, or just leave it as is? I am just worried if I change any information from before ITA, it might be a trouble...

Thanks in advance!!

OINP isn't explicitly NOC-specific and they haven't released any information about rejecting applicants based on NOCs.

Hi Asivad,

Thanks for your reply. I have a question out of curiosity.

What is the difference between Background check, Criminal check and Security check after submitting your application?

Regards

Im also interested in knowing the answer to this question.

please help

I am filling address history .the form is asking to update address for past 10 years without any gaps . Now I have lived at my home address ( which is also my current address ) twice in the past . After submitting each entry it asks if this is your current address . I said yes for the last( most recent )entry BUT if I say yes for the previous entries where I have lived at my home address it won't let me put the end date ! What do I do ? Can I just write NO for the previous two entries and put the end date to it .

Also if I just mention my home address once in the current address section it will leave gaps in times for the previous instances that I have lived at my home Address .

Say No to earlier lived status and explain why you did that in a small LoE.

I got an email yesterday saying that your profile has been updated for an ineligible profile number. But I don't see any updates in the ineligible profile. What could be the reason for the message? Is it possible that an ineligible profile becomes eligible suddenly?

The profile was created two days back and some change I made deemed it to be ineligible although I am eligible. I went ahead and created another profile and it is active now.
