Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I am a pharmacist but have all my work experience as Medical Representative for pharmaceutical companies. I have created my EE profile and provided my education degree as Master degree or profession that require license to practice and I have my ECA report from PEBC.

In my EE profile I have chosen my primary occupation as NOC 6221 "Technical sales specialists" instead of NOC 3131 "Pharmacist" because all of work experience letter job description and duties will match those of NOC 6221.

Is that correct ?

Technically, u r eligible, as according to rule u only need 1 year full time (52 weeks x30hr/wk = 1560 hrs). However, VO also see what are your chances to succeed in Canada and if he comes to conclusion that u can't, then he may refuse by stating this reason that there is an irrelevancy between ur education and experience. I have never heard of any case like this one but who knows what can happen in future

Thanks Afsar9930

According to NOC 3131 "Pharmacists" which matches my education level part of its duties is Promote pharmaceutical products to health professionals.

but in the same NOC page

http://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3VD.pl?Function=getVD&TVD=122372&CVD=122376&CPV=3131&CST=01012011&CLV=4&MLV=4

Pharmaceutical sales representatives (See 6221 Technical sales specialists - wholesale trade)

which I believe this role also matches with my education as I am pharmacist and I use my pharmaceutical background to deliver the correct info like (Doses, interactions & supply) for marketing and sales to specific audience in Hospitals mainly physicians.

That is why I am confused between the two NOCs.

Any suggestions ?

Shabam you are absolutely correct. Your education doesn't have to have anything to do with your occupation.

Looks good to me. Because you are a Pharmacist does not mean you have to choose 3131.

If you have experience in sales and can get the work experience letters to match 6221, then go for it
