2. On the fourth day, there will be a pulmonary evaluation, if negative, wait for the result of 2 months sputum culture
3. after 2 months of sputum culture, if negative, re-xray then vaccination
after 2 months of sputum culture, if positive, 6 months of medicine

1. Applicant to undergo sputum collection for 3 days
2. You need to wait depending on the test the wait time differs. If it is sputum smear test - the wait is less . If it is sputum culture - the wait is 2 months. It depends on what test CHC instructs you to go for.
3. after 2 months of sputum culture, if negative, re-xray and pulmonologist report to CHC
after 2 months of sputum culture, if positive, 6 months of medicine

I have scar in chest. Applied for Australia WP 5 years back had to under go chest X-Ray , Sputum, CT Scan then visa was granted.(Medicals cleared)
Now I am applying for Canada student visa, Will those medicals will be considered or have to undergo same tests again.

If embassy ask me to under sputum or other tests it will take more than 3 months to get it cleared. But I have to reach Canada by Aug end, which less then 3 months.

Any chances of getting medical cleared on basis of previous reports.

Hi

I think your test results is negative coz they haven't contacted you during that 8-10 weeks period, which they does if they found bacterial growth on the cultures. I myself undergone sputum tests and i did not got call from them within that 8 weeks period, now I am going for re-X-ray on Apr 30th. Keep following up the clinic, but you won't be schedule for a re-X-ray before you deliver your baby.

Referring you for furtherance tests is completely CHC discretion. Carry your old x-ray & reports during your test it will help doctor to compare the scar size between old & new x-rays, if its size remained same panel physician may not report a positive observation of any infection associated with it.

I dont think you will be asked for any documents during your furtherance wait. Any missing/updated documents requests(especially Sch 4 & Sch A/IELTS ) will be made between application submission and your medicals changes to "Passed" this is called completeness check. If any essentials documents missing at this stage leads to application refusal ( especially missing PCC results refusal).

panel physician called 30th Jan. 2016 for furtherance test info

sputum sample collection: feb 1,2,3

Result and Second x-ray: April 26, 2016
(sputum result was negative. I was referred to a pulmonogist despite negative result and previous xray dt I took along)
pulmonolgist requested for tb gold quantiferon test and antigen c enzymes test.

tb gold quantiferon test was carried out twice because it was indeterminate while ACE was within normal range.

Cic requested for additional documents: April 28 (guess it was after the hospital uploaded the negative sputum test)
docs requested: evidence of completed medical, schedule A, additional family info. deadline for uploading doc. was 18th of May

pulmonologist result was ready on 12th May. it was uploaded by panel physician while I uploaded evidence of completed medical with other docs requested.

no update till June 3rd. got a mail from local Visa office to go to panel physician for additional test. (all of this medical tests were money draining...I became emotionally drained, really unstable and physically depressed)

June 4th: panel physician informed IRCC is requesting for further Xray.. third Xray because they are suspecting sarcosis... I hope I got the medical term right.

June 16th: My cic was updated.....medical passed

June 17th: got a donotreply email... when I checked.. same as previous day. just medical passed.

We just saw that the medical status changed into Review in Progress. Actually only the panel physician who asked me to undergo sputum culture since we had upfront medical before we submitted our application. And during the medical I already handed the document showing I already completed the 6 months treatment before. Hopefully CIC won't ask me to undergo for sputum culture anymore but if they will at least I'm already on 4th week.

We are waiting for the PCC request letter since we need it in order to process our SG PCC.
