No, you do not need to work with an immigration agency. My recommendation is to do it yourself, with this forum assisting you. We can help you with each step of the process!

In fact, you do not need a consultant/agent to help you, the whole process is quite straight forward and forums like these are very helpful. The collective knowledge and awareness of the members on this forum far exceeds that of the consultants. In fact, some of the consultants get their answers from forums like these. If I were you, I would instead use that money for my nomination and other migration related fees.

If you follow this forum, you will be in a position to do everything on your own. Most of your questions would already have been answered by many experienced people on this forum and still if you feel that there is a blocker, post your question here, I am sure, people will be more than willing to help you. In the end the decision is yours, if you have the money and willing to hire an agent, you can google and find the best in India. But after everything is done, you will feel, you paid them to you tell you things which are easily available on OINP sites, forums like these etc.

You can refer to the following links which would be of help to you.

IELTS plays a very important role in boosting your CRS score. Ideally getting CLB 9 in IELTS (LRWS 8777) will give you the best points, You can try these values in the calculators here and see for yourself how much of a difference IELTS makes to your CRS score.

All the best!

Thank you Rajkamalmohanram for the details.

I have applied as PA along with my husband as dependent and awaiting for ITA with CRS of 475. As per the cur\rent trend of the CRS, cut off we see ourselves as a potential applicant for the ITA.

However, I have following concerns with my application:

1. As we are expecting a baby by July end, I would like to understand how much time we get for medical examination done once the ITA is received and in case we need an extension in the date for the same, where and how do we reach out to. Is there a way to declare the pregnancy over the myCIC portal once ITA is received or when should I actually be declaring it to avoid the delay because of the pregnancy?

2. At which stage would the medical examination happen?

3. My husband being the dependent candidate, would require to submit his LORs from his previous and current organizations he was/is working with?

4. Would PA's birth certificate be required?

5. Could you please share the format for the Police verification document.

I know it is a long list to ask for, but any help on each of these would be highly appreciated.?

Thanks in advance: DS

In general, assuming you are over 400 points, indicated Ontario as a preference when making your EE profile, and have a Bachelor's degree, it can take anywhere from a day to upwards of a month to get a notification of interest.
It is my understanding that Ontario have not sent out too many PT NoIs this year- they sent out one batch in very early February, and have since then stopped. The common understanding and consensus seems to be that they are trying to work through the applications they have first (especially since they are already very backlogged) before they move on to sending PTs out again. While we have no way of knowing if something like that is completely true, we at the very least know they are backlogged- they can take 4-6 months to process an application, everything considered. So, PTs may be issued far less frequently now than they were in the past.
All of which is to say- they have not issued any PTs since early Feb, but that does not mean they will not do so again. Your best bet is to keep an eye on the forum to know when the next batch is issued, and then see if you missed out on that by mistake.

Whenever they start issuing PTs, do you think it will be in chronlogical order of EE created or send it to all those who are over 400?

Honestly, there is no way of knowing. However, we know they don't necessarily do it in chronological order, so my assumption is they send them out to people over 400 CRS in batches regardless of when those profiles were made.

This announcement would give us good insight on what the govt. plans to do with skilled immigrants and how many immigrants it plans to bring under the economic stream:

urgent help needed

Hello everyone,

I recently got my AINP, but i also have an LMIA approved job. So i wanted to apply to EE through CEC,as i have one year of Canadian Experience.
i tried to make EE profile, in the process i have some questions, i would appreciate if i can have an expert advice on the questions below:
I selected YES in EE question about nomination .
1)I tried to change the nomination answer to NO(coz ainp isnt applicable to E.E), but i was unable to do so. Should i delete this profile completely and start a new one? or should keep it as YES,
2) I got a message in MYCIC acc with EE profile no and job code when i tried to enter my E.E profile no. and job seeker validation code its not proceeding . it says error.
the below msg was also in that pdf format.
Once we have received confirmation from the province or territory of nomination, or you’ve registered with Job
Bank, we will be advised and your Express Entry profile will become active

3)also under my application status the nomination tab says pending
4) it said job bank registration not applicable . is this because i have an approved lmia?

i want to proceed with CEC, how can i do that after having AINP.
Please reply with your valuable suggestions.

Thank you.

You should have it this week! Smiley
I have a question - I have an immigration consultant representing me - so will I be getting the email or it is the consultant? I have provided my email on the application form.
