applied online from South Africa

Hi there,

It is now 2 months and 20 days ( almost 12 weeks completed) since i had made my application for study permit online ( Visa Office is SA)

It says the processing time is 15 weeks.Ofcourse I must need to wait for few more weeks to get an answer, but few applicants already had got the approvals and rejections before completing 15 weeks.

Any advice on what would be the application outcome?

We on the same boat. I applied in May. Done my Bio Metrics and right now Im still waiting.. School starts Sept 8. I dont know what Im gonna do

which university/college you got admission? was it online or offline?

what is the exact date you made an application?

give me more info....on fee deposits and documents submitted? was it only for you or do you have any spouse/childern with your application?

i apply online 22nd june. upfront medicals, paid first semester fees. 7k plus CAD.

going fanshawe college.


medical passed after 1 week of submission.

didnt hear nothing since then.



but i know cases of some guys that got response from pretoria office after 4months.

Im also going to Fanshawe. Applied 22May online. Did whatever i had to do at VFS till now nothing... When I did my bio metric i was told it takes 13 weeks few weeks back it was changed to 15 weeks. The worst part i dont know if i should start getting ready to leave or what...

I applied online from south Africa too, on june 25 i am still waiting. i had to move my start date from September to January 2016. I wasn't asked to do biometrics though just keep getting emails that i have an update on CIC.

Hi sisi, i also apply online from SA june 22. passed medical after 1 week. since then no news.

eish with this guys u dont know. they are full of dramas.

althou most people that got refusals , gt the decision within 4-6weeks. but have seen cases whereby after 4months someone still got refusal. actually about 2 of them this yea 2015.

the 3rd person got approved while her husband OWP was refused. and they apply visitor visa for the husband got approved in 1 week.

i apply 22nd june. i received following on 22nd july and also today 21 august.



There have been no updates to your application (S**********) since you last checked your MyCIC account. Thank you for your patience.

I contacted VFS, I was told my application is still in process.. I have not defer yet. Just still waiting. cos my Sister got her visa 3days before sept Last year. I feel maybe it the same thing that about to happen again. but i know before the end of august we would know our fate

How long did it take for your sister to have her visa?

there is no new update but someone told me that i would get an email every time someone opens my application.
it often just means someone is working on it. if they ask for your passport then all is well but that also takes some time before you get your passport back. hope all goes well
