If your PG Certificate program is at college level, select 'College-Certificate', otherwise 'University- Other Studies'.

My Post-Graduate Certificate Program is not a college level, as it requires bachelor degree. But if I choose 'University- Other Studies' but my school is Centennial College.

Please advise.

Hi,
College-Certificate.
Have you applied on the same level of study? Did you get your visa?

Hi!
I also need clarification regarding this matter. My program is 2 year post degree diploma program in a college. In IMM 1294 I chose "College Diploma" as my level of study. But I got refused, and in the GCMS notes Visa Officer mentioned that. "PA is going for a college diploma program. He intends to study in an equal or lesser field that what PA already accomplished".
I have done 4 year BBA and my college required 3-4 year bachelor in business to let me admit in their program. So, I am going to reapply but I am really frustrated about what option to chose for that field. Although, previously I mentioned in my SOP that my course is PG Diploma but I guess they didn't notice that.
Please let me know if you find any authentuc answer to that question.

You didn’t get refused for selecting “college - diploma” in the pull down menu. What is the PG program you applied to? How does it help your career prospects in your home country?

My program is "Business Management-Post Degree Diploma", from Northern Lights College. And I mentioned that it would help increase my employability in my home country, as foreign credentials are highly praised and recognized here. However, I feel my SOP was not that convincing.
But I wonder why visa officer wrote "College Diploma" in his notes. Why not Post Degree Diploma?
So, I suspected that files are processed by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and perhaps VOs assess our files based on the report generated by AI. I don't know if this is the case.
Anyways, to be on the safe side. Can we chose "Other Studies" option from that dropped down list. As, there is only one option for College Diploma (which doesn't specify whether it is UG or PG diploma), so I guess selecting "other studies" would be better. Isn't it?

The issue is your college and program. Why do you need to take a program in Northern British Columbia (in interior BC, in the middle of nowhere) and your program description states that it benefits international students who want to enter the North America market. You need to address why going to the middle of nowhere (13 hr drive from Vancouver) will give you the skills/education you need back home. And why Northern Lights is the best school for your career. Many of the course you took in your BBA are exactly the same so you don’t need to take this diploma. Right from their website it says “International and domestic candidates with three- or four-year degrees in fields beyond commerce and business management (such as computing, engineering, health, etc.) would also benefit from the program.” So you have registered for a course that’s for people with degrees in non business fields.

Pick “other”. All the best.
