Hey... Happy to see you here... I am thinking to apply under NOC 3219 in next few months... Are you a Registered Pharmacy Technician or a Pharmacy Assistant? And what is your work experience? Are you a Canadian Graduate?

Good. I checked your message in my inbox but I can not reply you there as I am a newbie. I think you and I have the same case except few things. I show some of your other threads in this forum. Why are you trying to apply too early? You must have three years of work permit which is not expiring until 2015. I have more than 2000 hours of work experience but I am not trying to make it fast. And who are your friends in Belleville?
If you don't mind, please Send me some of your contact info in my inbox.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, as of now many provinces prohibit pharmacy assistant to use "pharmacy technician" unless you're registered with the board(meaning schooling and certification)

Pharmacy assistant is noc class d I believe so a person cannot do CEC.

Your reference letter should state "pharmacy technician" and I think there may be discrepancies even if the job duties are the same because most corporate chains will most likely use the title "assistant".

I live in BC and the college specifically states a person may not use the title "technician" unless he or she is certified. Also, if you're a regulated professional, you have to submit copy of your license.

Good luck to you.

Thanks for the post.

CIC hasn't specified if it should be regulated technician or not,

Another thing is what if the employer iswriting title as a pharmacy technician???

And the school certificate also stating pharmacy technician.

I'll really appriciate i somebody can through light on what it should be?

Thanks

It should be whatever it is.

If the provincial pharmacy college / society states that you need to be registered/certified to use the term "technician" then it would be advisable to only use the title if this is the case. If the professional body allows more general use of the title and this is the title given to you by your employer then you should use it.

Do not start changing titles etc for the app... What matters are the job duties.

Can you please provide me the link where does it say pharmacy technician has to be registered with the regulatory body of the belonging state to apply under CEC? As when I checked on HRSDC site, I found that it say candidate has to be studied for 2 or 3 years program in pharmaceutics.

Assuming that you have any questions relating to drug store partnerships, you have to depend a percentage of the best assets on the web, then I have one website to impart pharmacyfellowships.com. It truly helped and guided me the best in my profession of drug store.
