Guys, who among you has experience of requesting a Singapore police clearance but your outside Singapore already? (Like you used to be a work permit holder)

For Singapore Police Clearance, you need to request for it. CIC will send you an email if they need a PCC from Singapore. You can take that to the Singapore Police Headquarters at Cantonment Complex Outram Park or you can send in an email request. From there on the Singapore Police will process your request and will inform you of the next steps. It takes about a month from the time you submit request til you get the PCC in hand, so plan ahead.

Singapore Police does not give away a PCC to non citizens without a strong reason, so I'm guessing you'll have to wait for CIC.

I got an email from CIC stating that I need to submit Singapore PCC, so I took that letter, went to Singapore police and they guided me on the forms to fill out.

Hope this helps!

Read how the process works for Singapore here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/singapore.asp

If my husband is already in Manila, he has to email everything to Sg and wait for a month? :(

Is there a way that we can just request it in Manila- SIngapore Embassy? :(

By the way guys, thanks for your responses.

As far as I know, he needs to send a request to Singapore Police itself not the embassy.

Yes, if a person resided for 6+ months in SG they will need a PCC.
