There is one thing what I noticed and experienced that once you filed a mandamus then there is chances that your file touched by someone and it starts moving. So, in my case I spent $4200 up to the Memorandum of Argument stage. Then I discontinued this year January, and once I received the GCMS notes later, where I noticed under the "Security Sub Activities Section ": Security Favorable, date created on March. Then in July my Comprehensive Security marked as completed. Now a week ago I also received Portal 1 email. And my expired medical also extended by IRCC.

Thanks for sharing your timeline. May I ask why you discontinued your mandamus in January? Did IRCC or DOJ provide any assurance, or was it your own decision?

I had that update earlier this year, after two years in security. Later I ordered GCMS notes, and it was just my regular criminality check expired after two years. This is just my data point.

Did they ask for new police certificates?

Did they ask for new police certificates?

I applied inland, so they would just request a new police certificate from the RCMP, not from me.
From what I read online, they would request the new police certificate after security has been wrapped up, along with everything else that has expired, e.g. medical, as a final step.

Biometrics: April 23, 2024
Security screening: Since November 2024 (ex-military background)
Mandamus with a lawyer: started in Feb 2026 and last step in April 2026. (Mandamus didn't do much help in my opinion in this case)
Remedical request + Adr's: Police certificate, proof of funds (because added baby) and Travel History: October 14, 2026
PPR: October 22, 2026

Complete radio silence for a long time, but there has finally been movement. Sharing in case it gives some hope to others who have some similar stats
