I’ve also seen AMHR discussing a pre-mandamus demand letter on this forum. You may want to search their posts, as there are several discussions about whether these letters can prompt IRCC to respond. Though, so it’s worth checking the thread directly. It may be worth consulting an immigration lawyer to assess whether it’s appropriate for your case.

Yet again I am also waiting for 34 months and I know your struggles trust me. My MP got back to me for a follow up and said that majority of people apply for pre-mandamus or mandamus after 12 months of their security being stuck in progress.
I see many people in this forum who are just waiting for a miracle to happen while their cases are simply stuck forever. If you are waiting for years while seeing thousands of applicants after us getting their decision, know that this won't fix anything.
I can't tell you what to do but we must bring awareness to this problem. They should be held accountable for what they are doing to us. Security is just another excuse to justify the delay of our applications. My security only started 6 months ago and best believe if I was in your shoes I would start a mandamus file. There are people who are waiting 40 plus months and this makes me so sad and angry so please do something. We came to this country for a better future and to live in a democracy so what's the point when we can't have our voices heard?!?!?!?!?!

Mandamus will easily add another year to the process and the cost is not cheap. My security started late June and next week it will be 39 months since I submitted my application. My lawyer advised to wait until new year and then start the mandamus process.
People have seen positive results. Yet again I'm not an expert you must consult with a couple of lawyers. I know that the results can be very positive for some people but the delay must be justifiable. My MP said if your processing time started about 12 months ago you can start with a demand letter. A demand letter gives IRCC a 30-day window to respond and mention the nature of the delay or give you a positive decision. If they don't respond to this then you can file for mandamus which can take 6-12 months. Most people see a final decision in the pre-mamdamus demand letter stage. Talk to lawyers and see if your situation is suitable and it might be a bit costly unfortunately.

When I went to my application said update but when I opened nothing happened and next time disappeared,
And when I called ircc, they didn’t read my application or like everytime said we are processing your background ,
Only said transfer to the agent

I didn’t receive any email. I just got a update in my applications I don’t know Is it final decision? no but my timeline is September 2023
