Hi, my dependents gave Medicaid in April 2026 but I am still waiting for P1. Do you think they will process before April 2027 or will they have to go for 2 nd medical .
Kindly advice
IRCC decides whether another medical examination is required. I think there’s still hope you’ll receive P1 before April 2027, but no one can guarantee the timeline.

But if by the the time they get the visa is too close of the expiration of biometrics , they wont have time enough time to travel, so the visa will be wasted. The COPR es valid until de biometrics are valid. That is a rule.
I think they (regional visa office) should be in rush with their visa, unless, IRCC could request the biometrics again, and this is not the first time that happens. I know few people who has to give biometrics again. Unfair, but true.

thnks for this information we are very tensed bcz its already been 5 months for medical exam given and been 9 weeks since dependents got portal 1 email and after that we haven’t received anything and waiting to ppr

can you tell me how much time it takes for ppr to received by dependents outside canada they received medical instructions on 6 may 2026 and gives exam on 12 may 2026 and after that they received portal 1 on 30 july 2026
Unfortunately, there’s no fixed timeline for overseas dependants, and some applicants wait longer than others. If they are still outside Canada,

Its your choice I believe. When one of my friends got final decision for her pr back in 2023, her medical was to expire in 2 months. IRCC asked her if she would be able to travel in 2 months or if she wants to do another medical. She opted to do another medical because she was not ready. Now, she is settled in Canada with her family. I have forgoten how the letter was specifically worded. Remember, its a one time visa and if the person does not enter at the stated date, they have to re-apply for pr and start from scratch. So sometimes its better not to take the risk after months or years of waiting. Even with the COPR, unlike ECOPR given to applicants in Canada, overseas applicant do not officially become permanent residents until they arrive at a Canadian port of entry and their COPR is signed and dated by a CBSA officer.

Hi
Thank you for your reply
But my question was
Will they get visa before expiry of medical since I have not got P1 yet.

Hello all. Please how will I know when my medicals have been submitted and passed? I'm an overseas dependant so I don't have an online account. I have checked with CAS but the last message says "We sent you instructions on blah blah blah".That was the medical instructions which I've already complied with but there's no way for me to know if it has been received or passed. Is there anyway to check?Or do I just have to wait and see?

we have to submit separate sheet for height and eye colour in the passport request .Can anyone explain?
The passport request letter for overseas dependents comes with a part where you fill out the dependents details which includes height, eye color etc and you send it together with the passport . They use that information to send the COPR

No need extra sheet we have to fill out in the same form the PDF file you means .

You can ask the panel physician whether your medical results were submitted electronically, but only IRCC can confirm if they’ve been received and passed. You can also submit an IRCC web form to ask for an update. Otherwise, you may need to wait for further communication from IRCC. Good luck!

Hi everyone, has anyone with multiple overseas dependents experienced receiving PPRs at different times?

A few days ago I received PPRs for two of them, just 18 minutes apart, but nothing yet for the oldest child who turned 18 during the process and I’m a little worried.

Has anyone experienced something similar? If so, how long did it take for the remaining dependent(s) to receive their PPR? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences. Thank you!

Do you know if their security passed or not? If passed for everyone you should expect the other dependent to receive it too. It might be a system issue. if not maybe their timeline is different and might have to wait until all their assessments are complete!

You can search the overseas dependants timeline thread. There are several people sharing their experiences with PPRs arriving at different times for family members. Hopefully, you’ll find a similar case there.Hopefully, Since your oldest child turned 18 during processing, IRCC may need additional review.
