I need people with experience to help me out here. I'm eligible to apply for citizenship (1099 days as at today), and i plan to do it with my minors, but one of them is currently outside of Canada though he will be in by December (less than 730 days outside). This will somehow delay the application by another 2 months because I'm worried about passport photo if it could be done from outside, my intention is to put in the application early to start counting. Can the photo be taken from outside Canada?

Of course it can be done from outside Canada. Just get the specifications right.

My suggestion would be to print out the specifications for a physical photo, have them do the physical ones (they'll measure and cut to size), and also get scanned copies of that final. I'm pretty sure the passport photos page has the instructions.
