PGP 2022 - Primary applicant(Father) no more

Hi,

I submitted PGP application in 2022 and file was in process till now. IRCC was citing security check as my dad was in military.

Couple of days back my father(primary applicant) passed away .
my mom was a dependent (secondary applicant)


What happens to the application in such cases?


What steps I need to take being a son and representative for this application ?

I've seen one previous case from someone who also applied in 2022. He submitted a webform letting them know and asking if his mother could be made primary applicant. He didn't hear anything from IRCC and then contacted his MP who helped move things along. 3 months later his mom got her PPR.

First of all I’m sorry for your loss. You’ll need to contact IRCC with your father’s death certificate with relevant translation and then request for your mother to be made the primary applicant.
