2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Tebrikler, benim başvurum da sizinkiyle tamamen aynı, sadece ben askerlik hizmeti için 17 Haziran'da, ATIP için ise 11 Eylül'de başvuruda bulundum.
Umarım yarın başvurumla ilgili bir şeyler olur.

Benim durumum da seninkine çok benziyor. Ben de Ağustos 2023'te kalıcı oturum izni için başvurdum. Askerlik hizmeti belgemizi 19 Temmuz'da yükledim, ancak henüz onay almadım. Dört ay önce ATIP raporu talep ettim ve hala gelmedi.

My timeline

Application submitted: September 28, 2023
Biometrics: January 25, 2024
Pre-arrival letter: November 27, 2024
Eligibility passed: December 4, 2024

January 2024: Asked to update IMM 5669 – Schedule A
June 29, 2026: Asked again for Schedule A along with my military service records. Uploaded everything the same day
September 4: Submitted an ATIP request for the first time
September 16: Received my ATIP/GCMS file by email. It showed that security had not started yet
September 23: Got a GCKey update for Final Decision
September 24: Received the P1 email

I’d suggest anyone who has been waiting for more than 30 months submit an ATIP request. At the very least, an officer has to open your file to process the request and provide the information, so it may bring some attention to a file that has been sitting for a while

Your timeline is especially helpful for those of us who have been waiting a long time. I agree that ordering GCMS/ATIP notes can be useful because they can show what has been completed and what is still outstanding. There is no confirmation that an ATIP request triggers an officer to review or prioritize the underlying PR application. But webform may sometimes bring an application to an officer’s attention, especially when an application has been pending for a long time. However, I don't think we can say that submitting a webform automatically triggers or speeds up processing

If anyone re-applied for RTD after PR recently , can you please share your timeline. I am preparing for the application now. I don’t have any guarantor so I requested for the statutory declaration form from IRCC. Last time I used the same but they took almost 8 months to process my RTD.

IT WILL BE REALLY HELPFUL.

“comprehensive A34” should not automatically be interpreted as “you have been found inadmissible under A34.” IRCC describes comprehensive security screening as an assessment that can cover sections 34, 35 and 37. If there were an actual inadmissibility concern requiring procedural fairness, IRCC would normally have to give the applicant an opportunity to respond before making the relevant adverse decision.

So, after 22 months, I would not simply say “keep waiting” without looking at the file. I would get updated notes and consult a lawyer about mandamus, especially if there has been no meaningful movement since November 2024. Also, before deciding on mandamus, I would suggest contacting your local Member of Parliament (MP) and asking their constituency office to make an inquiry with IRCC. I would do both before making a decision: MP inquiry + updated GCMS notes + consultation with a mandamus lawyer. I hope your security screening is completed soon and you receive your final decision.
