Im now Conventional Refugee and apply for my PR. March 2026

My brother come to Canada once years (2015) ago from a country that use to use ETA now they use visa , i haven't seen him since 2018 . However he want to apply for visa to come spend Christmas do you think he get it we have same last name as me ,( we share same both parents ) I work for government almost 3 years now, safe income plus a small business.
I will send him all documents including business account and my job ; but worried if I get to see close family.

Do you think because im refugee he won't get visa ?

Im also planning and going to meet my kids in third country,

Question #1 can I apply for RTD online?

Question #2 how long it will take to get it back ?

Question #3 do I wait until after my family applied for the visa then I applied for RTD ?

PS: my sibling born in a different country from me , so he's not from my home country I file asylum from .

Your brother’s ability to secure a TRV will be purely based on his own profile not yours so your work history in Canada, your savings, etc. are not relevant or will be viewed as additional information. Your asylum claim can have an impact on his TRV application but it partially depends on why you received protected person status. His ability to secure a TRV will depend on whether he has strong ties to his home country, his level of savings and his previous international travel history. The fact that he has visited Canada in the past and as long as he followed Canada’s immigration laws and returned home after his visit that should help his applications

Follow the RTD application instructions. Would suggest applying as soon as possible because I would not book travel before you have secured the RTD. You likely can’t without your RTD information. Just a reminder that you can’t use your home country passport for any reason. Most want to book flights well in advance to ensure a reasonable flight cost and to be able to secure time off from their job.
