Hello Everyone,

I am filling my MPNP application and I would request your assistance in "Previous Stays in Canada" section. Should I mention my stay in canada as continuous or I should also mention gaps where I went to my home country?

Please suggest how should i approach this? Thank you in advance.

same question. what did you do in the end?

Yes you should list the gaps. For example is you lived in Canada for 5 years but returned home annually for ~2 weeks you would list as follows:
Time inside Canada: January 1- December 31, 2020 (due to travel time and time zones it may not be exactly December 16-31 in all cases)
Time in Canada: January 1-December 15, 2021
Time in your home country/outside Canada: December 16-31, 2021
You get the point….

Thank you, I am also wondering what documents to provide in the previous stays and application history? Do I just need to provide permits for them? or anything else? thanks

You typically have to provide a copy of your passport pages but that is a general requirement. What and if you need proof depends on stay and the reason. For example given you are applying for MPNP you may need proof that you have lived in Manitoba. Is that why you are asking?

I have decided to move forward without showing gaps; any way I have to upload the same documents for that. For documents part, they have options like visa stamps and temporary permit; so I am submitting my temporary permit (study/work permit). I hope that will not create any issue.

Why risk misrepresentation?
