Today received a mail to submit my fingerprints. I already booked my appointment for submitting same. I am assuming, this will delay my application by few weeks in best case scenario.

Shoppers should normally be fine, but the store name alone doesn’t guarantee that every photo will meet the citizenship requirements. Citizenship photos have specific dimensions and are not exactly the same as passport photos. If the digital file meets IRCC’s current specifications and the photographer’s information and date were properly provided, I wouldn’t worry too much. Many applicants have successfully used Shoppers, but it’s always worth checking the file dimensions and requirements yourself for peace of mind.

The August 6 date appears to be the date of the status update, not your actual test date. Your test window is the period shown in the tracker, from August 7 to September 5. I would first check the spam and junk folders for an email ending in @cic.gc.ca or @canada.ca. If nothing arrives shortly after the test window opens, I would contact the office or IRCC rather than waiting until the deadline gets too close.

It seems tracker is still down and going some maintenance. I might be wrong as I tried with old tracking info I had for an old application and it showed me the maintenance page.

URGENT HELP REQUIRED.

I had submitted my application on 18th May 2026 online.

Today, I received an email from IRCC of missing information. When I opened my application is shows :

Your application for Canadian citizenship is incomplete. We cannot start processing your application for the following reasons:

Fee Payment​

We refunded the payment in the receipt (you previously asked for a refund).​

To fix this issue​

• Pay the fee again and upload a new receipt

Go to your fee payment

If you still want to apply

1. Correct the issues listed above
   • Upload all documents as instructed (where applicable).
   • Make sure all files are clear and easy to read.
2. Update your physical presence calculation
3. Make sure the application has all of your latest information
4. You have 60 daysto resubmit the application from the date you receive this message (check the date above). If you don't resubmit it after 60 days
   • we'll permanently delete your account and application
   • if you still want to apply, you must create a new account and apply again

We have not taken your payment yet. If you can’t or don’t want to resubmit your application, you may ask for a refund(opens in new tab).

I AM at a complete loss to understand this. I had made the payment of $653 for the application and it shows in my bank account. I also had attached the fee receipt as it shows as attached pdf file in my submitted copy that I saved. I have not made any refund request as stated in their message. I will be calling IRCC tomorrow to understand more. The message is also unclear if they have refunded the fee or not. I don't want my application delayed by another 4 months as a resubmission and for no fault of mine.

Any help will be appreciated.

Review and make sure it matches the information submitted on the Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] form or the Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual [IMM 5475] form. If an applicant registers with Uber Eats after submitting their citizenship application but has not yet started making deliveries or earning any income, would this be considered employment or self-employment? Should this information be included in the original application, or should the applicant update the application to report the Uber Eats registration after submission?

If an applicant registers with Uber Eats after submitting their citizenship application but has not yet started making deliveries or earning any income, would this be considered employment or self-employment? Should this information be included in the original application, or should the applicant update the application to report the Uber Eats registration after submission?

Uber Eats income is considered self-employment/business income. In my opinion, since you applied to become an Uber Eats driver after submitting your citizenship application, this activity should not be included in your application, and you do not need to send it as an update.
