Hello, I applied for my wife's PR application in May, 2025 under SCILP In Canada family sponsorship stream. I received an eligibility approval letter in July, 2025 and my spouse (PA) received an eligibility approval letter in August, 2025 but today we both received letters from IRCC Mississauga office saying that they are reassessing both our eligibility and that we should disregard the previous letters we received last year. What can be the reason? Can someone please help if they have been in a similar situation? I am just worried at this point.

No trips. Just a one day visit to USA for a funeral. Went in the morning and returned the same evening.

My wife just received a request letter asking her to submit a new additional family info form imm5406. Can it just be that then?
Okay. Good sign in the sense that the reassessment of eligibility can just be for this form?
Not necessarily. But usually IRCC requests updated forms before making a final decision.
Okay. Can the reassessment of eligibility just be a normal? I saw several posts online where people said that when it was just over a year since the eligibility approval they received that they received the same email saying that their eligibility is being reassessed. Can it just be because of lapse of time?
I believe so! The agent would request more information (proof of relationship, for instance) if it was necessary. Since they are checking again the eligibility and requested only a form, I believe that you won't have headache. Please don't forget to update this post when you get any answer. A lot of people make questions here, but don't come back to update the case.
