Indian Parent visitor visa

Hello,

I am trying to start an application for my widowed Mother(India) on government pension.

Please let me know few details to start the application.

Like what documents i need to the start the application.




I am a Canadian citizen.

There is one issue though my mother's surname and my surname has a mismatch(one letter missing).

Somehow all her identity documents in India has the same surname with missing letter.

Please let me know what all documents i need to start the application.

Consider a super visa if your mother doesn't have a strong profile for TRV. It's a more viable way to be approved.

Name is not an issue. She needs to have strong ties to return, her own cash to show, travel history, etc.

One letter is not an issue, just address it in the letter of explanation.

You have bugger concerns to worry about I mentioned above.

Besides, if she applies for a TRV, not a super visa, she doesn't need to prove that she is your mother. She applies on her own merits.

Yes but your family also needs to be preparing for her return home and setting up a long term care plan there. Most will never be able to sponsor a parent for PR and if your mother gets ill it becomes much harder to remain in Canada longterm unless you’re very wealthy and can pay for healthcare out of pocket.
