August 11 to now is not necessarily unusual for an AOR.

IRCC says the AOR is sent only after they receive the application and confirm that it is complete. If the application is complete, they issue an application number and AOR and then begin processing the sponsorship and permanent residence portions.

For spouse/common-law sponsorship cases, IRCC also notes that processing times vary based on application volume and case complexity. Their recent published data says spouse, partner and child applications submitted inside or outside Canada and destined outside Quebec were being processed in about 15 months overall, but that is the total application timeline, not the AOR timeline.

So at this stage, I would just keep monitoring the email account and portal. Once the AOR arrives, you’ll be able to use the application number to track the case more easily.

So i applied under outland category while she is already here in canda on work permit. I am still not able to check status os application online or view the application I submitted. is tis normal. please help

I have the application number (file number) for more than a month but still cannot check status of my application

I have almost identical application to yours. Where are you trying to check the application? They relaunched the tracker recently, it was not functioning for a long time. You can not view the application but you can download all the documents you have submitted, simply go to the portal where you applied.
