Hi all,

My father-in-law was referred for sputum smears and cultures, as during the upfront medical, they wanted to confirm something they found out during the X-ray.

Sputum smears and cultures results take about 60 days, and we were advised that there would be a new X-ray taken after results were received

The panel physician told us that we can go through the application process (do the biometric, etc) if we want to; however, from their side, medical results will show as ON HOLD.

Thus, I am looking for advice or suggestions: should I proceed through the Super Visa application considering the processing time is approx. 50 days. OR should I wait until we receive and have clear medical results submitted to IRCC by a panel physician?
I am just worried that if I submit the file and IRCC sees that the medical results are ON HOLD, either they will reject it or put our file ON HOLD.

Thanks in advance for the support.

Very common to have your application put on hold until you get the results of a sputum culture and repeat x-ray or even get treated for TB. Normally IRCC is the one who asks for the sputum culture and repeat x-ray after seeing the first chest x-ray.

Thanks for the reply.

In our case, we are doing upfront medical and panel physician requested the sputum culture and repeat chest x-ray.

Is it safe to go ahead and submit the application in 2-3 weeks? or better to wait until panel physician request to do chest x-ray again?
