Chance of work permit after 1 year exclusion order

Hello everyone,

Last month, I was issued an exclusion order at Calgary Airport after I attempted to volunteer on a ranch without the appropriate work permit. I fully understand that this was a serious mistake, and I sincerely regret it.

I left Canada the following day and can provide proof of my departure.

I previously held a Working Holiday Visa in 2024, and I would very much like to return to Canada next year under the Young Professional Visa. However, I am concerned that this previous situation might affect my eligibility.

I have already contacted an immigration lawyer, but our appointment is in 30 days, and I would really appreciate any preliminary information in the meantime.

I miss Canada a lot and truly hope there may still be a positive path forward.

So nothing you can do for a year. You have to be honest and cannot hide the exclusion order. The YP visa is a closed work permit that must match your professional goals so you will need to show that your education is aligned with your job offer.

If you’ve been excluded from Canada for a year , then you’d have lots of time to figure things out

The lawyer isn’t going to be able to get around that . In a nutshell you were attempting to work in Canada without authorization

By chance was this the same place you worked on your IEC ? If it was , that really doesnt look good. Looks just like you were circumventing the rules
Btw I can’t just rock up to the UK border as a foreigner and attempt to do what you attempted to do here as a foreigner
