Had my Oath done on 18th. Application is now closed!

I'd like to thank everyone who takes out the time to answer questions and to provide motivational support here. And I pray it all works out quickly for those that are still waiting.

Hi All,

I would like your expert support and input in troubleshooting my citizenship application. Details as follows:
Submission Type: Online
Original Submission Date: 8-Aug-2025
Resubmission Date (due to incorrect signature on minors' application): 14-Nov-2025
Location: North York, ON (M3C 3N4)
Applicants : 3 (myself + 2 minors )

Physical Presence days: 1,127 Days (PR status)
Primary Office: Vancouver
Secondary Office: Sydney (received AOR from here)
COD Testing Team 3

AOR - Feb 9, 2026
Background verification completed - Feb 9, 2026 (updated on tracker)
Test taken - April 11, 2026
Test updated as completed - April 14, 2026 (updated April 16, 2026 on tracker)
LPP - Pending..

It's been over 2 months since my citizenship test was completed and updated but no updates so far. Is the Vancouver office or Sydney office responsible for my LPP assessment? If so, how long do they typically take? And why didn't my application just get transferred to the Scarborough office? Wouldn't that be the closest to my actual residence?

Thanks!

I had a three month silence before LPP was completed. Then everything went super fast. LPP May 26, Oath updated to in progress on June 4th. Oath date posted June 8th. Had my ceremony last Saturday. I hope you hear something really soon.

Thanks for your reply!
Congratulations on your application and Citizenship!

What was the timeline like for you? Did you apply for any ATIP notes while waiting for LPP or did they call you for an interview before approving the LPP stage? If so, did you travel outside the country after you submitted your application?

Apologies in advance for the multiple Qs - I am just trying to get some movement on my file ><

Congratulations! That's great! Last leg of the race for you!

Do you know which was your primary/secondary offices? and did you travel outside Canada/spend anytime outside after submission?

Anything that helped to update the status of your LPP? Did you apply for ATIP/GCMS notes or call the IRCC?

Thanks again!

It was Vancouver/Sydney office.

Yes, I went away for a while almost right after submission.
No, I didn't apply for notes. I did call IRCC twice but that was to check if my LPP had started and it had not. I needed to know this to come to a decision about my current passport which has recently expired.
Since my application was within their projected processing times, nothing could have helped.
I read in July 2025 thread, a user did everything they could but the response they got from everywhere was same. So if its within processing times, there's not much you could do.

Edit - project ---> projected

Thanks - I have the same offices assigned.

May I know whether your LPP was approved after you entered back in Canada?

If you don't mind, can you also please specify the dates when you left Canada and how long you remained outside?

Please do keep me updated regarding your oath ceremony dates as well!

I was away for only a month, came back in first week of January. Since then I haven't left.

Sure, I will post the next update.

Though I think your application stage looks normal because a lot of us from november have been waiting from march/april after our tests completed but for your own peace, you can try calling to IRCC and check if LPP for any of the applicants have started (since yours is a group application)
Sometimes, tracker says in progress but in reality its not even started. If not started then, most probably the applications are part of a batch and stuck at one of the office.

Thanks for sharing this! It's very helpful.

I guess you are right - I was quite patient until the 2 month mark from the test update and then it started to get frustrating after that lol ><

Are there other groups that are discussing long LPP wait times for single/group applicants?
