Hi. No I did not receive any email. There was a ghost update yesterday morning and I checked this morning again and there is a date on final decision section.

The email is always delayed like one or two days respect to the portal. For example, My decission was made on april 07 but I received the email until april 09.

You will received the email on monday 22nd because they dont work on weekends, and same day yoy will get portal1. Answer immediately and go to shoppers or any other place to take the picture. Be ready for portal2.

Im so happy for you!!

Hi. Yes as @Flowercita said I am the main applicant and my partner in Canada with me. Looks like my case finalized but my partner’s case is not yet. And also partner is not convention refugee.

After you get your decission, they will move with his file. Cant process his hile unless your is done. They notify your FD was made so can continue. In my case, my dependents were requested for medical.

Thanks, just a quick question. Did you move to Canada at same time with partner
What was her status all this time while you were waiting for a decision
I know a couple who both came on visitors visa
Just one persons life is in danger and he’s about to seek refuge.
Will the other partner who is not in danger have to leave Canada or how does it work
Can partner wait while the claimant waits for a decision, will both get a work permit if one seeks
And can the other partner who is not at risk still travel in and out of Canada ?

That’s the thing. Since my partner in Canada with me and did biometric and medical exam in 2023. All assessments passed only left was security. They requested biometric fee from my partner and looks like I got the final decision same day.

Your dependents in Canada too? Did they receive their pr just after you?

My partner was here in Canada before me. Different visa. I claimed and case accepted. When I got my convention refugee status we applied pr together and work permit for my partner. Still on work permit since spouse of the convention refugee.

No. It's different.
They are requested for give biometrics, after that, medical and finally will be requested for passport.
They will receive a visa to come here in Canada and once here they give PR. The COPR is at the airport. We'll that is what I read.
For now we are waiting for the request of passport.

Thank you so much. I’ve been told if your dependents in Canada they treat their cases like main applicant. You get pr together. I am not sure. But my partner’s all assessments are done and we passed the eligibility in 2024 and we both received pre arrival letters.
