what stage of background check? mine is stuck on info sharing since last 7-8 months and they are yet to start security check. File is at Ottawa RROC as my secondary office. I guess they are sleeping on it.

I have seen on Facebook P1 to applicants of March 1, 3 (2 applicants), 5, 6 and 19. IRCC is processing slowly. So many people are still waiting.
I believe that this person is talking about the tracking on IRCC website. Right now it's in maintenance and out of service to check your application status.

Call ircc contact center and ask them about the stages in background check. There are 3 stages- Criminality check, info sharing and security screening.

Got an update thrugh IRCC CKey but ofc the PR Portal still down. Final decision- May 25th. I tried calling the IRCC number to see if the automated line would give me the update but it tells you it has to transfer you to an agent (I called outside of the business hours).

Assuming this is because the portal is down- but has anyone who got the final decision on their account during the down time gotten any p1 or any emails? I haven't gotten anything in my end yet.
Received P1 email for my application. Here the timeline so far
- Application Submitted: March 07, 2025
- Sponsor: PR living in Canada
- AOR: April 04, 2025
- AIP: April 17, 2025
- Sponsor Eligibility: April 14, 2025
- BIL: April 08, 2025; completed on April 11, 2025
- Medical: February 02, 2026 (reused from Study permit)
- Ghost update in GC: May 15, 2026 (tracker not accessible)
- Final decision in GC: May 21, 2026
- P1: May 29, 2026 (reply the same day, Montreal office)

Before getting P1 do they send you the email congratulating you for receiving your Permanent Residency?
Also, if final decision is completed is it most likely approved?
