Congrats!! im at the 11 month mark since Background Check was updated to "In Progress". so, two months to go. yay i guess lol

My dear Iranian brother, I hope you get your results soon. But I am currently in my 16th month of the comprehensive security check (I applied on 27 Feb, 2024, security check started on 24 Oct, 2024), so I guess the timeline is a little bit different for us Iranian people

I understand , i am now 18 months into background check and still dead silence, you are not alone, what i realized is it suddenly disappear out of nowhere, but better to be mentally prepared for at least 24 month into security , even if you have not ever served in military and similar situation

Same here, I'm on 1177 day since I did submit my aplication and my security check is counting now 2,5 years. I'm sure that my case is just seating there collects dust and waiting to be pickup

May i ask which region are you from and have ever served in military or government ?

I'm from Europe, Serbia. I dint served in regular army I did choose civilian service working for one association for disabled persons. I did in private sector construction as Architect, my traveling was just in Europe never did live outside my country for longer period of time. no criminal record only one parking ticket.
From MP I did find out that they are doing review of my military history, they did ask for documents and they did get is back from Serbia and now they are doing that review, and that from Feb 2026 my aplication was transvers to different office. I dont know what that means.

I understand, it is very difficult to wait in the silence with no clear info from the security agencies. Have you received pre arrival letter by far ? If so once or twice ? What about medicals ?
