You might want to contact Air India as well for passenger assistance for her.

Please only access service for the disabled if actually disabled. Many with disabilities often can’t access these services because too many who aren’t disabled have requested them. Sadly it is illegal for airlines to request proof that you are actually disabled although most with disabilities would happily do so to ensure they actually get the accommodation they need and re entitled to. Airlines would also prefer that there was some proof required because the abuse is so rampant although magically once groups have arrived at their destination or after customs many disabilities suddenly disappear. Airports are very user friendly, signs are often in many languages, most on the Canada/India routes are used to catering to passengers who speak the most common languages, most passengers are going to customs and then baggage claim so all you have to do is ask an employee pr other passenger or follow the rest of the passengers. If you are really worried have your mother bring a piece of paper with common questions in the language she is most comfortable in and the English translation. Common questions could be about where to go for customs, where is baggage claim, where is the nearer bathroom, where is the gate for flight X, your name and phone number if there are any problems, etc. My 92 year old father with cancer flew last week and was fine. He apparently took a short break during a long walk and used the elevator when there were only stairs available once but most airports are prepared for non-native language speakers, people of varying abilities, a large age range of visitors, etc.
