Yes you can once in Canada. Will likely add a few months to processing.

Most virtual landings take months. (P1, P2, eCOPR)

If you want to have PR soon after you arrive in Canada (e.g. for provincial health coverage and ability to get SIN to start working), you may want to change your flight ticket.

I personally know someone who flew to Canada before submitting her passport (it was requested) and completed the virtual landing instead. It ended up taking her six months to finalize everything. She always advises getting everything done before flying in and avoiding a virtual landing if applied outland

I got PPR for spouse and kid today, with my flights booked for 2nd of June. Now I was thinking of requesting a virtual landing after 2nd of June. But the PPR letter says
"IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY IN CANADA: You are not required to submit your passport and will be landed virtually. Please advise our office via webform within 5 days of receipt of this letter if you and/or any of your dependents are in Canada."
Does this mean I cannot request for virtual landing after 5 days from receipt of the letter?? Please advise. Ima tag you guys as Im in a hurry, sorry for this @Charlamanderxxxx @YVR123 @canuck78

Why would you request ECOPR after you get to Canada when you already have PPR. There is often months of delays between changing from PPR to eCOPR. They can’t request eCPOR until they come to Canada. Do they all have TRVs?

Yes they have trv now. Considering it takes about a month to get the passport back after stamping, I was trying to not reschedule my travel plan to come to Canada. I’m biased towards sending the passport and hope to get it back sooner than a month
