Yeah, had few discussions and most say that submitting a letter for PFL will not make much difference. Better work on PRRA or H&C if you qualify

H&C is not really a great option either. Processing time is decades and there is a very high chance the program will be reformed because it is no longer functional. It also does prevent removal. Focus on PPRA.

Hello, has anyone received PFL already?
The letter says my claim is ineligible to referred to IRB cause of these reason.
They give us certain date to response to the letter. Is there anything we can do about this?

“Under subsections 101(1)(b.1) and 101(1.1) of the IRPA, a refugee claim is ineligible to be

referred to the IRB if the claimant entered Canada after June 24, 2020 and made their claim more than one year after that entry; if the claimant entered Canada multiple times after that date, the one-year period is calculated from the day after their first entry.”

I thought they send PFL to all claimants affected by bill C12. When did you receive this letter?.

Received my letter april 13, 2026
We submitted our application March 10,2026, and we also have the letter of confirmation to refferal to the IRB.
