When I did my and tell to officer that my mom and my 3 sisters live in us, he gave me refusal letter immediately
Did they ask you other questions before your relatives? I agree with aother comment here that I don't think rtd without pr, or relatives in the US are the main factors. You should focus on your travel plan and your background next time. Having a stable work may help a lot. In the worst case, you could go to the US when you get your citizenship. Good luck.

Yes he asked me how did they go and their status. Yea I should wait the citizenship

i know this couple who applied for B1/B2. The Consulate canceled their appointment saying that reschedule again after you get PR. they did not refuse the application but just canceled the appointment from their end. this happened 1/2 months ago.
did it happen to anyone here?

Happened to us some years ago. The nice thing about this was we didn't have to repay fees for a new app.

When we finally did PR, we then finished the booking (which was on the tail end of covid times so involved some considerable frustration and waiting). However, the appointment itself, in Toronto, went quite smoothly and quick, and we got the visa.

i hope they also don't have to pay to reschedule the appointment. but i m pretty sure they need another DS-160.
its been a while, my recollection is we did indeed need a new DS-160 but we didn't have to pay any additional fees to reschedule. (Perhaps because it was cancelled by them on their end?)

Since Trump has come back into office securing a visa as a protected person or refugee has become much harder. This may change under another administration.
