Hello all.
I applied from Calgary in August 2025 and everything on my tracker is completed since 31 January 2026 except the invite for citizenship ceremony.
Is anyone in calgary in the same situation?
Is this delay a calgary thing?
Three weeks ago I sent a webform requesting they speed my application due to a Job interview I had on March 20 that required citizenship and they didn't reply.

The people I applied before in other provinces have all received invite or completed their ceremony.
So I'm thinking my delay is due to my calgary location?

My LPP passed on february 14th and I am also waiting for the ceremony, from Calgary too. It looks like a Calgary thing to me.

It's crazy I haven't received the ceremony invite yet. Two months after everything was completed.

I am still waiting for test invite. AoR received on October 10. Background check is completed. Anyone in the same boat?

They responded to me saying they made a note of request and due to high volume of applicants in queue they cannot confirm the date of my rescheduled oath. They have asked me to keep an eye out for the email. Does this mean I have to wait a long time for the oath?

Not necessarily! My friend in Vancouver also had that same response and his new date is 3 weeks from the old one, so I say, don't overthink it just yet!

UPDATE! Guys i had my in- person Oath ceremony today, So officially a Canadian citizen. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Background Completed: 30th Oct
Test invite : Dec 29 (test window : Jan 2 - Jan 31) team 3
Test taken: January 5, 2026
Test completed: January 7, 2026
LPP completed: Feb 4 (completed on portal on Feb 2)
Citizenship Ceremony: In Progress on March 17th (tracker updated March 19th)
Oath Date: April 29th, 2026 (waiting on instructions whether it is online or in-person)

I also had my citizenship ceremony today (virtual). Officially a Canadian citizen.
Now waiting for the e-certificate.

I live in the Kitchener/Waterloo area in Ontario. It takes that long for a virtual ceremony?

Yes i sent a webform. Primary office is sydney and secondary is vancouver

Oh here is the issue, secondary office does all the process, since your secondary is Vancouver, the officer there might wait until deadline to complete things.

Which event(oath) office?

I haven't received an email confirmation of the oath yet, only seeing the update on the tracker. I guess I will only find out with the email, not sure if it updates on the tracker?

Does anyone know how long is the average wait between "Oath In Progress" to receiving the ceremony details in my email?
