Just check to see if anyone having test complete around Jan 10 and still waiting for LPP in Vancouver, Team 2? I heard the center is notoriously known for batching and would like to see if the mid-Jan batch has started yet? I have zero updates after test complete on Jan 12. Background completed back on Oct
Test was marked completed on December 17, and no update since then, no idea what's happening in Vancouver office!

Took the Oath on Monday, and finally crossed the finished line!

I will (not) miss checking portals and ringing IRCC for application status.

Goodbye everyone. I hope you all get your Oath Invites sooner. Thank you for your help!

.... so F. Did you have a lot of travel? Is your background completed?
My BG was completed on Oct 3 (a few days after my AOR). I did travel 3-4 times, but I left around 2 weeks buffer before applying. so I don’t think that’s the issue. According to the IRCC agent they haven't even started reviewing my LPP in Vancouver office yet.

  • 22 Aug 2025: Application submitted
  • 23 Oct 2025: Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR)
  • 27 Oct 2025: Fingerprints requested & submitted
  • 10 Nov 2025: Background check completed
  • 23 Dec 2025: Test scheduled on tracker
  • 6 Jan 2026: Test updated on tracker (completed 3 Jan 2026)
  • 5 Feb 2026: Ghost update
  • 10 Feb 2026: Request for Supplementary Evidence — Passport copies and proof of travel (submitted same day)

I only had two short trips, and I provided all pages of my travel document along with flight tickets in the response to the correspondence email. I’m not sure how long it usually takes from here. I saw someone else’s post where they were asked to provide documents on Feb 1, and their LPP was completed two days later. Waiting is really hard :(

Your file must be with a incompetent lazy officer, they will only complete it by the Due date which is almost 8-9 months from application date.

Get CGMS notes, things will be much clear, it comes in a week.

Somebody rang my doorbell yesterday afternoon. When I opened the door, I saw an envelope on the floor on top of the mat outside our door. You all will never guess what was in the envelope ;). Yup! My citizenship certificate. It's lucky that I was home and that it wasn't raining/snowing. I shudder to think about what could happen if they leave it outside like that.

Anyway, I went to the passport office this morning and submitted my application for a new Canadian passport. When I get it on the 25th of February, I'll come here and post for the last time, and then goodbye to the Canadavisa forums, and goodbye to my Canadian immigration journey. Folks, can you guess when I first thought about immigrating to Canada? Come on, try and guess. Nope. Try again... Nah, you won't be able to guess. I first thought about immigrating to Canada in 2004. Here is a post I made in one of the forums when I got my ITA in 2020:

...................

My Canadian adventure is a strange story. 16 years of heartbreak seem to be coming to an end...

2004 = no job and no money (This is when I first started thinking seriously about moving to Canada)
2007 = job in eligible NOC but not enough money (everything else was fine: master's degree, IELTS, age etc.)
2011 = job + money but by then my NOC was not in the list
2015 = by the time Express Entry started, I had lost way too many points because of age and I had given up on my Canadian dream
November 2019 = I find out about the 30 extra points for French, immediately dive head-first into French.
September 2020 = Got the required result in TCF Canada and got the ITA.

Moral of the story: Never give up!

......................

And now, 22 years from the time when I first thought about it, my journey is at an end. The intervening years have been great as I have been fulfilling one goal after another. From hereon, things will keep getting better. Good luck, all!
